Quite Eyes of Air is Yasi P. and Alissa D.
Our band was formed in the spring of 2017. The first year brought us some travel: we played in Berlin, Prague, Brno, Vienna, Portland, Seattle, Oakland, and Los Angeles. We also enjoyed some collaborations with Negativland and Michael Swaine and Waxy tomb.
Neither of us is good at recording things and i’m not sure what kind of archive we could piece together for that first year but there is at least one video : Superbooth 2017
Time kept on and the next year brought us more travels and we had fun playing some really special shows in Brno, Berlin, Hamburg, Riga, and Austin. We also had a residency at EMS Stockholm and hopefully one day we’ll actually finish mixing the recordings.
We still play shows sometimes and in 2023 Afroditi Psarra invited us to play the NonSeq series in Seattle. Yasi made a doppler to CV unit that helped play Alissa’s synth informed by the movements of a visiting dancer, Em Jones.
